No more car locking itself and setting off the alarm!
Door lock had been malfunctioning for over a decade. Liked to lock itself, so always had to be careful leave keys the window open and not leave the keys inside. Found video online about the soldering in the lock so took the lock out and re-soldered all of the connections. Sadly did not fix the problem, but while I had the door apart just ordered a new one. Worked great. Will be glad to worry about the alarm going off so often.

Bearcat install but works great
Bearcat to install but not the fault of the part more on the installer. Got it done, appears that all electronics (so it seems) runs through this part. Once it was installed the window switches worked, and the side mirror controller work too. Could not be more pleased.

Good enough get around with.
I mean the part dita but for some reason now the door does not close all the way also there is some functionality lost with opening the door up from the inside. Sometimes the latch does not operate correctly so I have to lock and unlock the door to get it to open. I believe you should be able to just pull the inside door handle and the door should open even if it is locked. Overall though, with the current functionality it still good enough get around with.

Would not work properly on my 2006 GTI MK V. The lever on the replacement door latch which the cable for the inside door release rubs on the inside door structure which cause the inside door release handle to stick.
