Will this pump fuel level sender unit fit my 1990 VW CABRIOLET. I was told that the fuel level sender unit for a 1984 to 1985 MK Jetta will fit my 1990 Cabriolet. WILL IT? IF SO I will buy one from you.

Will this fit a '94 golf mk3 gl?

The mk3 vr6 fuel pump can be fitted to mk3 8v and 16v the only different is the early vr6 using 4bar fuel pump and the late vr6 using 3bar fuel pump. The actual pump is the same.. but the unit that houses the pump is not the same! But what most people do, is just pull the pump out of the housing.

Working great! Installation was easy and straight forward. I do recommend replacing the gasket/o-ring when replacing pump. Fuel level reads correctly. Saved a ton of money on this quality part! Will buy again when necessary.

I used an oil filter wrench/pliers to loosen the ring that holds the pump to the tank, after spraying some soapy water around the seal (you could use some WD-40 just don't soak it to the point it drips down to the rubber seal). The pump was well packed and arrived on time. You will have to remove the fuel float attached to the sending unit by pulling it out sideways, then reach the pump inside the tank and twist to the left to unmount it from the bracket base that sits at the bottom of the tank. I am very happy with this purchase.
