How is the Actuator installed?

You have to remove the inside door panel and many other parts. I had a very difficult time installing it. Could not find any good videos. Just about gave up and went to dealership.

Does the acuator come complete or do you have to install the wires for the inside handle and lock? pic shows the wires are NOT there

This part comes as pictured, and will not come with the wiring. It is purely the actuator.

How does this work with a door key since the door and ignition are the same key. Does this actuator come with a separate key to unlock the door if the keyless entry goes down or is lost?

The key core is not a component of this part, there is a lever that connects the key core to this part that does the locking/unlocking when you turn the key. You do not need to change or replace any keys when installing this.

Great customer service, but part was never correct for application. Don't buy these for stated application., just wrong and quality shoddy. Bought two remaned from another worked fine.

Inexpensive fix for the driver's front door. This is on a 4Runner with almost 200,000 miles and some components are beginning to fail. This was an inexpensive fix for the door.

This part almost fit my 2006 Toyota Camry. All except where the door lock cylinder is supposed to attached to the door lock actuator. The "x" in the cylinder bar does not match up to the "x" in the actuator. It's like trying to plug in a electrical cord with the prongs not matching to the outlet because one is bigger. The original part has the thin part of the "x" vertical. This part has the thin part of the "x" horizontal. It is not workable. :(

Solid. Works great with the auto locks and key fob. Manually opening the door when locked catches sometimes. Maybe I missed something when installing. It is serving it's purpose well.
