Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we'll be showing you how to replace a blower motor resistor on this 2003 Nissan Maxima. It's a pretty easy operation; you're just going to need a Phillips screwdriver and probably a flashlight.
If you find that your climate control unit and the blower fan only works in high or low, or intermittently goes in and out, most often it's your blower motor resistor. The blower motor resistor is right under the glovebox. I'm removing the clip. Press down on the top and pull out. I'm going to remove the two Phillips head screws.
Here's the old part and the new part from 1A Auto. They're exactly the same and they're going to go in just the way they came out. The tab is going to go towards the front of the vehicle. You can see the notch here in the airbox. I'm going to reinstall two Phillips head screws and reconnect the harness.
