Is this the same as the variable camshaft timing valve?

This is the part I purchased for my 05 expedition, to replace the Variable Camshaft Timing. I took the original out first to be sure the one I was ordering was at least similar. Perhaps it might be useful to take a look at the one in the vehicle now.

Is this the updated version and dose it have the c clip on the bottom of it?

Updated? I think so, but more important, you have to transfer the screw to the new part. Please be careful....if you loose that screw inside the valve cover, you'll be pulling the valve cover off. I would mark the screw with some marking paint so you can see it incase it falls in the valve cover. Better buy an extendable magnet so you can fish is out....just as a precaution.

This come whit gasket?

I didn't remember needing a gasket but Solenoids worked fine for me.

Does this part fit the 2004 Ford 4.6L engine the VVT?

These are not listed to fit any 2004 models with the 4.6L engine

Do the solenoids come with the torx bolts?

Yes they do ! Be careful not to drop them down into the engine ! They aren't locked into the solenoid hold bracket like the originals !

Will this work on 5.4 liter 3 valve V8?

Yes this will work for the 5.4L models listed to fit.

Does it come with o ring?

Easy install! Didnt have to remove valve covers! Just remove the seal and remove solenoid through the hole! Make sure you tape your socket to extension and pull the solenoid out as you loosen the screw. First side took me 20 minutes. Second took 5!
