Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the grille on this 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500, and it's the same process on the 1500s from 2008 to 2013. The only tools you'll need is a 10mm socket and ratchet, pliers, and a flat blade screwdriver.
There are a series of clips that hold the top panel on. Here's the first one. To get these clips out, you pry up with the screwdriver. Pry the middle up and then pull the clip right out. Once the clips are out you can just lift that panel and set it aside.
Now you can see here there are four 10mm bolts. You want to just go ahead and remove those. And behind, there are five or six clips that hold the grille. You want to use a pair of pliers and pinch the back side of the clip and pull out. There are two on each side and then I think one or two in the middle as well. Once you've released those clips, the grille will pull out. Just make sure that you have them all released.
Then, once you have the grille off, you'll swap your emblem onto the new grille.
Now, to put the grille back on, you just want to line up the four tabs on the back, push it into place, and it will lock on. And we'll fast-forward as he replaces those four 10mm bolts along the top of the grille. Put that panel back and replace those eight clips along the top.

I really recommend this product to anyone looking to replace their Chevy Silverado grill or just get a new one for a nicer look. I have gotten so many compliments about the way the grill looks on my truck and how much nicer my truck has looked and where I got it so people buy from your website. I loved my grill and it was really easy to put on and it got here quicker than I thought it would so Im thankful for that too. I have also bought headlights from you guys too that were great!

Looks good overall. Would be. Ice it is came with clips.
Really like this grill. The chrome on the OE grill was starting to bubble. I have so many black accessories on my truck I opted to switch to black.
Super easy to install.
Customer Q&A
Does it come with clips or would I have to reuse my own? Because most of mine are bad and broken.June 12, 2024

Te clips often break when removed as they are old and brittle. I purchased a kit of various sized clips from an auto supply store and used them. Other than that the grille fit very well.
