I used an oil filter wrench/pliers to loosen the ring that holds the pump to the tank, after spraying some soapy water around the seal (you could use some WD-40 just don't soak it to the point it drips down to the rubber seal). The pump was well packed and arrived on time. You will have to remove the fuel float attached to the sending unit by pulling it out sideways, then reach the pump inside the tank and twist to the left to unmount it from the bracket base that sits at the bottom of the tank. I am very happy with this purchase.
Working great! Installation was easy and straight forward. I do recommend replacing the gasket/o-ring when replacing pump. Fuel level reads correctly. Saved a ton of money on this quality part! Will buy again when necessary.
