Everything I expected
These did not fit a 2003 Volvo V70 FWD despite multiple attempts. The OEM was aluminum and these are not. 1A Auto provided fantastic customer service and gave a full refund. These appear well made but simply did not fit.
Yet another glowing review from me. I essentially rebuilt the front of my Volvo S60 with 1A Auto parts and had no issues at all. My car rides like new again! I saved $800 from having it done at the shop.
My experience with 1A auto has been excellent!!! I order on line, received my purchase within 3-4 days and the parts fit perfectly. I saved money with the purchase and my mechanic didn't charge me his parts price YES!!!
part seems to be quality, just double check for fit and hole alignment. Ordered for 2001 S60 and had to widen the right bolt opening ~1/8in to get the bolt in without stripping out the mount. Also, it seats very tight, enough so that I ended up taking to a shop to have it seated then brought back to the house to put back together.
Front ball joint set for a 2002 Volvo S60. Parts actually seem pretty solid material, amazing deal for the price vs local auto parts, and the1A Auto warranty. Recommend to take old ones out put the knuckle/ spindle on a vice, heat it up/ oil it and gently loosen the 2 bolts or one might break like it did for me. Steel bolt with loctite in an aluminum knuckle/ spindle, replaced original factory ball joints at 178k miles. Put a jack under control arm to put pressure on old ball joint pin so you can turn the nut. That doesnt work use a T40 torx and a 21mm wrench, or a pipe wrench. Or just cut it off. Torques as follows : ball joint bolts(2) to knuckle 30 ft lb, ball joint pin 37 ft lb plus 1/8 turn ( new one is 18mm. nut), axle nut ( old one 14mm new one 13mm nut ) 33 ft lb plus 1/8 turn. Top of struts ( 3 BOLTS ) 22 ft lbs
I tried replacing my shocks 1 part at a time and it was cheaper to just buy the whole thing then it was to buy 4 individual parts with a discount at autozone. Thanks so much, Ill be using you in the future. I wish you had rims!
