Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we are going to show you how to replace the coolant level sensor on this 2002 Volvo V70. It is the same part and process for the V70's from 1999 to 2008. The items you will need for this include a new coolant level sensor from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver.
First, pry up your power steering bottle and then just set it aside. Now, using a flat blade screwdriver, loosen this hose clamp and pull the hose free. The harness for the sensor is located right over here. Just push the tab and pull the harness free. If your hose starts leaking coolant, tip the hose up. Your sensor is located right here. Just pry it out and it pull right out.
On the right is the old coolant level sensor; on the left is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they are identical and they are going to fit exactly the same.
Take your new sensor and push it up into place. Then reconnect the harness. Now line up these three tabs right here and push them down into place. Reconnect that hose and tighten the hose clamp. Now, take your power steering bottle, line those tabs up and push the power steering bottle down into place. You are all set.

Perfect replacement part
james
June 21, 2019
The low coolant, shut engine down immediately warning was on my dash. After doing some checking, I determined the coolant level sensor failed. The sensor was replaced by the sensor that I purchased from 1A Auto. The replacement looked exactly like the factory sensor and functioned like it. The job was easy, especially after watching the 1A videos, and saved me at least $200. 1A Auto is the first place I will look for replacement parts for my cars.
Perfect!
