It does very little to improve the ride and stability of my truck. I expected a smooth and like new ride but it's still very rough. It doesn't bounce like it used to but it's not a smooth ride at all. I am just glad that I installed them myself instead of paying a shop to do it,cause I'd be out a lot more money.
Don't buy these. We emailed with 1AAuto before purchase and they said this would return the truck to stock height. The truck now sits lower than it did with my worn out stock shocks, and the ride is far too springy. Very disappointed in this company, and these shocks. Now I have more money to spend and more work to do. I expect a full refund for this, and I will most likely never buy from 1AAuto again. What a joke. Purchased front and rear shocks for a 2001 tacoma 4x4 sr5. With all new parts installed the front end is significantly lower than with the stock shocks installed (as another reviewer noted). Front end travel seems limited and bottoms out easily on low speed bumps...

Thank you for the inquiry! For the 2004 Tacoma, this will fit all 4WD models and it will also fit the PreRunner 2WD model.
This kit is not specific to engine size, it will fit the 4 wheel drive models or the PreRunner rear wheel drive models.
If your truck is 4wd or a Prerunner then you will not need to modify the parts to make them fit.

These are not adjustable. I noticed that my vehicle rode a little higher after installation but then settled back down to factory height after a few rides.
