TRQ variable valve timing (VVT) solenoids are manufactured to precise specification using premium raw materials with anodized housings for maximum service life. Instructions
I had to replace the VVT sprocket on a 2009 Toyota Prius due to a P0012 code. I ordered and installed this part in June of 2023. WARNING: This part comes with no instructions and there are very specific steps that need to be taken in order to install this correctly. THIS PART MUST BE UNLOCKED BEFORE INSTALLATION. There are videos on YouTube explaining how to do this but there is some pertinent info missing. You will need to remove the intake and exhaust cams to do this which will require setting the timing first. The timing chain cover does not need to be removed to do this job unless you are replacing the timing chain and guides too. Once the intake cam is out of the car remove the center main bolt. There are 4 additional 5-point bolts on the face of the cam. Leave these alone. wiggle the sprocket until it comes off. There are 3 slots on the inside of the sprocket. 2 are 180 degrees apart and the 3rd is offset. Place the new on on the cam ensuring the pin on the cam shaf
