Description
TRQ fully loaded shocks and struts are manufactured using premium raw materials and calibrated to restore original ride comfort. TRQ shocks are fully loaded featuring a pre-loaded bearing plate, upper and lower spring isolator, upper spring seat, coil spring, boot kit, and premium strut. TRQ recommends replacing your shocks or struts in pairs to ensure even wear of components and improved ride comfort. All products are fit and road-tested in our Massachusetts R&D facility to ensure we deliver on our promise of Trusted Reliable Quality.
Replacing struts used to require specialized tools to compress, remove, and transfer the old spring and mount. Our Pre-assembled, complete strut & spring assemblies come with all new parts and make the job much quicker and easier for the do-it-yourself mechanic.

No good, don't waste your time or money
Very poor quality product...and due to invasive nature of installation makes refund or warranty fulfilment less than satisfying. Installed these TRQ's and instantly had loud annoying thumping. Local shop confirmed no issues with other suspension components - pointing toward issue with these new struts. Replaced the TRQ's with KYB's from another retailer...difference was night and day. Unless you have lots of free time, avoid multiple replacements and do the job once by avoiding these TRQ struts.

Rear was a bear to install. How to compress Springs to be able to get strut on spindle, and at one point I thought I had damaged it when the spring came out of the rubber from compressing one side of the spring too much, because that's the only way I could do it. Ride is great.

2003 Pontiac Vibe complete strut install
I Replaced the leaking & clanking struts on my wifes car (2003 Pontiac Vibe FWD 147K miles) with the 4-piece front & rear TRQ complete strut assemblies. I am 61-years old and did this install in my driveway, flat on my back, with the car on jack stands. The hardest part of my installation was removing the old sway bar links from the sway bar. Because I live in NW PA, the nuts were extremely rusted and had to be cut off (I used a sawzall in very tight quarters - an angle grinder with a cut off wheel would have made this job much easier). All of nuts and bolts on the existing struts came off without any issues except the bolt on that holds the brake line to the front passenger side strut snapped. This didnt end up being a problem because I was replacing the strut anyways - I just had to make a trip to the hardware store for a new bolt. The TRQ complete struts fit perfectly. I had no problems installing them whatsoever - all bolts/mounts on these struts lined up exactly with the f

Are the rear shocks with coil springs better than just a straight shock absorber?
Thanks for your inquiry! It all depends on the condition of your old springs and mounts, but replacing the entire assembly is usually the way to go!
