2005 Toyota Camry Japan Built Models (1st VIN Digit J) Rear with Rear Disc Brakes Ceramic Premium G-Coated Brake Pad & Rotor Kit TRQ BKA53982

Rotor and drum combinations appear to be good, I like the idea of corrosion resistant coating to remain on all non-braking surfaces. Service brake pads appear good, with attached noise reducing pads. Included hardware seems sufficient, but should include new wear sensors for pads. As noted by others as well - parking brake shoes need some work. Even with adjusting wheel fully retracted and actuating (spreader bar) at top with clearance, with top of shoes snugly against pivot pin could not get drum over shoes as supplied. Lining thickness not the issue at only 2mm. (factory spec.) Had to use cylindrical stone in die grinder to remove approx. 1/16" from each shoe where it contacts pivot pin to get drum on. Even then only made 2 "clicks" to star wheel to adjust. Would recommend new hdwe. kit for parking brakes if only for rear shoe hold down spring nail due to it's design (prone to stretching) where it goes around rear shoe and lever.
