Had to make a few modifications to make it fit correctly, but it works fine and the truck is back up and running.
Great fuel tank looks great perfect fit! Totally revoked it
The tank matched up to mine perfectly but right off the bat the first thing I noticed was extremely thin paint on the tank, some corners had almost no paint. The spot to bolt the tank in facing the front of the vehicle is missing a cut in the bracket at about a 20* angle, a simple cut with a grinding wheel fixes it, but it won't fit without the cut. Compare your new tank to the old one to see what I mean. A1 auto should fix this as it looks like just a missing step in the process. I stripped my tank and re coated it because I didn't want to take chances of it rusting through.
First off i ordered one morning and was at my door next day at 2pm!!! BUT it was only 3 hrs away also! So for 98 dollars great buy definatly the cheapest option i found with good results. So details of the tank not so good. I had to do trimming on the front end to make it clear the bracket the skid plate bolts to. And also on the back to clear the rear leaf bolts. And dented in the side to clear the drive shaft a tad. The bolt holes lined up perfect after trimming to fit into place. There is not drain which i am not a fan of and didnt see in description. Had i seen that i prob would have not purchased. I dont want to drop the tank incase i get a bad batch of gas as unlikely as it is it does happen. Definatly was not a oem replacement. And isnt as sturdy as the factory one. But at 98 dollars i cant complain. You get what you pay for. Over all it holds gas and my pump and sender unit fit great. Be prepared to test fit alot. Wish i could post pictures to show the fitment
A little hammering to flang at drivers front corner and it slipped right in
I can't say enough positive things about my experience with 1A Auto. I received my order 3 days faster than expected and the fuel tank was the correct fit for my vehicle. I wouldn't hesitate to order from 1A Auto again, as it saved me a ton of money. The percentage saved is not an exaggeration compared to factory prices.
