TRQ recommends replacing your shocks or struts in pairs to ensure even wear of components and improved ride comfort. These shocks and struts were so easy to install on my 1998 4runner. We took out the originals which were really long overdue to be replaced and now it feels like I'm driving a completely different car. What a great improvement! I wish I had replaced them sooner. This kit is a great price for an incredible value and quality.

Very easy to install, price was very reasonable. But front struts are very stiff , small bumps feel large, every time I hit a small pot hole my ashtray opens. Rear shocks actually lowered my 1996 4Runner by an inch. Front struts brought it back up to proper ride height.
I paid $82 shipping to hawaii for my shock/strut set and front brake kit. Well worth it! Got here in a week! Fast shipping, great parts, great service, great prices!
The strut is one inch longer than my original strut. I used the jack and put it between the frame and lower control arm. It was in at no time. The car run great. Love its.
The TRQ struts and shocks are a solid product. Havent had them on long, so I wont comment on durability. I will comment on the superior customer service of 1A Auto. My first shipment went missing (which is on UPS), I messaged them about my problem and they shipped out a replacement immediately. No questions asked. I will order from them again.
The parts arrived on time, and the fit was perfect, as guaranteed. However, the ride quality is very poor. The ride is way too soft for a 2002 4Runner and nowhere near back to factory specs. I had ordered before from 1A for a different vehicle, but this time I'm very disappointed and will likely not return as a customer.

It lifted mine about an inch and a half, maybe a tad more, its going on two years since I installed it. Been happy with it no issues.
These parts are not excluded 4wd or 2wd so they will fit both.
Front upper mounts have new nuts. Everything else uses existing.
