The mirror installed easily without any problems, but the mirror itself is extremely poor quality. When looking into it, the reflection is so distorted that it nearly makes you go cross-eyed. I eventually gave up and purchased a small add-on mirror, which I now use instead. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
The mirror was attached to a plastic backing with the correct notches. I was able to replace with ease as it snapped right into place.
