2013 Ram 1500 Truck Driver & Passenger Side 2 Piece Upgrade Power-Folding Power Textured Black Flip-Up Towing Mirror Set with Temperature Sensor Trail Ridge TR00083

I will soon be on my 3rd set of these mirrors in 7 years. Set#1 - Purchased in June 2017 to replace non-tow mirrors on 2014 Ram 2500. Install went fine, mirrors in/out no problem. However, the Ambient Temperature sensor caused all kinds of grief. Reading constant +40DegC. Seemed to be a looser connection than factory mirrors. Purchased some conductive paste, dunked the connectors in it, plugged into door module and issue resolved. Puddle and Turn Signals never worked from the start. Had options programmed at local Dodge dealer, still did not work..so whatever, I can live with that. Fast forward 5 years to July 2022, Drivers Side mirror only come in 1/2 way. No issues with Passenger Side. 1A Auto no longer ships to Canada, but the EXCELLENT customer service shipped out a whole new set to me. Set#2 - Arrived and took mere minutes to replace as all wiring was already done. When new units installed, Puddle and Turn Signals worked right out of the box. Closer inspection found that

The mirrors are solid built. Actual mirror installation is easy. I got power folding upgrade version, so that was a major PITA. Dont love the view with the bubble mirror but I'm not sure factory style tow mirror offers anything better. I put these on a new to me 2018 Ram. If I had it to do over again I would have kept shopping for a truck with factory tow mirrors. But if you are happy with your truck and want an upgrade in the mirrors, these are a good option.

Keep in mind that in order to get the puddle lights and turn signals to work with this mirror (providing you didn't have them already activated to begin with) you must have them activated by your dealership. I just happened to be at my local Ram dealership for something else and I asked the Parts manager if he could active the turn signal and puddle lights because I was planning on installing these towing mirrors this weekend. He flashed my truck to enable the towing mirror package, turn signals and puddle lights while my truck was getting some other work done (I was not charged for this but each dealership is different). I installed the towing mirrors when I got home (took about 1.5 hours after watching the 1AAuto "YouTube " video on how to install them. I just installed the mirrors two days ago. The process went very well, but it did take me 4 hours. I am very mechanically inclined, so plan on a half day start to finish considering you want to take your time and be thorough. Only 2 minor issues: 1.) The included fuse tap WILL NOT work with the newer RAM. The fuses are much more narrow in this truck, so don't bother trying to run the power wire into engine compartment. I ended up having to use a vampire tap. No big deal. 2.) For the RAM to 'turn on' the extra options ( for me: turn signal, heat, puddle lights) I need to 'enable' codes, which I am not sure how to do/ask for and if the dealer has to do it. Been doing research, but seems like this is going to be a chore. Otherwise, installation went very smooth, and the folding is AWESOME!! ( I have to fold mirrors to fit in the garage.)
