My liftgate support struts finally failed on my 1998 Nissan Pathfinder after only 176,000 miles so I bought a pair from my local dealer who sent the rear window struts instead. Finally sent the liftgate parts but they didn't have the right brackets at the top of the strut for my car after making sure they matched the parts to my VIN#. Went online and found a review video for 1A Auto Parts showing the exact parts being installed; bought them for a very reasonable price and installed them myself in about 20 minutes. Fit perfectly, work perfectly. My only advice on installation is to make sure to support the tailgate so you can remove both of the old struts at the same time. You'll need to push the liftgate up on its hinge only (about one inch) then the new support struts will fit easily. If anything else goes wrong on my '98 Pathfinder I would only buy the parts from A1 Auto. They have the right stuff, good prices, fast delivery. A++ vendor.
