Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we are going to show you how to replace the radiator overflow bottle on this 2003 Nissan Altima and it's the same part and process on the Altimas from 2002 to 2006. The items that you'll need for this are a new radiator overflow bottle from 1AAuto.com, 10mm socket and ratchet and a pair of pliers.
Right here is your radiator overflow bottle and you can see it's held with two 10mm bolts and then at the end of the hose there is this clamp right here. Using a pair of pliers. you just want to push those teeth together and slide that clamp back and then the hose pulls right off. Now, you just want to remove those two 10mm bolts and now the radiator bottle we'll just lift right up and out.
On the left, is the new one from 1A Auto; on the right, is the old one. You can see they are identical; they'll mount exactly the same and fit exactly the same. Now take your radiator overflow bottle and push it down into place and replace those two 10mm bolts. Once the bolts are secure, then you can slide your hose back on, make sure the clamp is secure and then refill your radiator bottle with coolant as required.
