I installed the parts and everything worked except the resistor. I had to use my old resistor. It works great. I would give 5 stars and hope this get resolved. I need to know the next step.

Thank you for your inquiry! Yes this will fit your 1997 Mercedes Benz E320 as long as you have the updated crescent shaped resistor. These were a split year and some had the older style resistor like 1AHBR00091 instead of 1AHBR00042.
