I had all 3 mounts replaced on my Gen 1, Mazda 6, 2.3L, 5-speed manual: Transmission and motor mounts. This stopped the chattering I was getting when starting out in 1st gear. Whether it was a motor mount or trans mount that fixed it, I can't say. (One of the mounts wasn't in stock at 1A so I orgered a Beck Arnley mount online from somewhere) Of course a new mount won't fix a bad transmission but you already know that.
This part is not specific to the transmission type. We would need the year make model and engine size to confirm fitment on your vehicle, thank you.
