Seems sturdy compared to stock.
I ordered on a Friday . Paid for 2 day it took 5 total. Probably post Covid shipper issue. It was not metal but plastic coated with some type of chrome looking treatment. It did seem like more substantial than stock. This door handle mech design seems to be extremely common. Most ford vehicles and lots of imports have something similar. Its a horrible design relies on thin plastic for spring end support. If they simply made it in metal it would never fail. I would believe this 1A version is probably the sturdiest one youre going to find. A snowplow blade apparently got my sons car door when parked. I had to replace door for it and window to operate. And I think, This handle Will work great until next plowing season . ( joke, or, hopefully that plow gets a better operator.)

Better than the original part
My handle broke & its a common problem on Mazda 3s because of the door opening mechanism. This one requires a bit of breaking in at first since its not the OE part so it was a bit stiff but the quality is on par if not better than the original. Also saved me about $240 on the part so thats a bonus. I actually like the look of the chrome handle on my grey car so I know where to go if I need to complete the set!
