Do I need a special key after install to program ?

If you only replace the ignition switch, as I did, you do not need to mess with the key question. Your current keys are matched to the SKIM (Security Key Ignition Module) that looks for the correct key before telling the PCM (main computer) it's okay to start. Your key has to match the SKIM and the SKIM has to be programmed in the PCM. Thus, don't replace the key tumbler unless it is bad so the original key and SKIM will still be matched to the PCM. The ignition switch has parts that are prone to breakage so it is all I needed to replace.

Does the lock cylinder come with different tumblers so the old key can be used?

No, the key included must be used.

Will this fit a 2000 dodge Dakota truck ,do you have one that will,lock cylinder,and switch ?
