Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace EVAP canister purge valve on this 2004 Nissan Titan with a 5.6 liter V8 engine. The tools that you're going to need for this are a 10 millimeter socket and ratchet, a pair of pliers and a flat blade screwdriver.
You're going to need to remove your engine cover to start. Remove these two 10 millimeter bolts. We'll just fast forward as Don does that. Now pull up on either side of this engine cover. It just pulls off. Your EVAP canister purge valve is located right here. Just push the tab on this harness and pull it free. Then using a pair of pliers, push the teeth together on these hose clamps and slide them further down the hose. Then remove these two 10 millimeter bolts and we'll fast forward as Don removes those.
Now, using your flat blade screwdriver, just pry off these hoses. Take your new EVAP canister purge valve and just push the hoses into place. Then replace those two 10 millimeter bolts. We'll fast forward as Don replaces those and tightens them up. Reconnect the harness and then slide those hose clamps back up into place. Line up these two pegs with these two holes and push the engine cover back into place. Then just replace these two 10 millimeter bolts and tighten them up and you're all set.
