Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to remove and reinstall the air filter on this 2007 Audi A4. This should be a pretty similar procedure for most Audi A4s. This one has the 2.0-liter turbocharged motor in it. The only tool you'll need is a Phillips screwdriver.
Open the driver's door and pull the hood release lever. There's a secondary safety latch in the middle of the hood. Push up on the lever and lift your hood.
Your air filter is on the passenger side. Lift up on the duct work, and then pull that intermediate duct out. Then there are two Phillips screws that hold the air box together. I'll fast-forward as I remove those. On the back of the air box is a little wire clip. Pull that out and then separate the upper air box from the lower air box. Then you can pull your old air filter up and out.
I use a shop vac and just vacuum up any of the leaves, sand, and debris that are down in there.
Separate the top of your air box again, and put your new air filter down in. You may have to push the corners down in a little bit. Once it starts going in, it should go in nice and easy. Make sure it's seated in all the way around. Your air box goes back together. You may have to lift up and reset the clips that are at the bottom, but you want to make sure that it goes together, the screws line up pretty easily. Then we'll speed up here as we tighten up those two screws. Put that wire clip back on and then put your duct back in. Just put the duct down in a little bit. Just make sure it's going into the right area. You don't want to push it down yet. There is a clip on the side of the duct that you want to make sure the wire goes under. Then there's a hose that goes outside of it. Put it down in and then pull on that accordion duct there and line that up. Make sure it goes in properly to the primary air duct there, and then push the whole duct in system in down and it clips in place.
Thanks for tuning in. We hope this video helped you out. Next time you need parts for your car, please visit 1AAuto.com. Also check out our other helpful how-to and diagnosis videos.
