To get to your cabin air filter, you'll start by raising your hood. Then up by the cowl, you'll see three clips. One here, one here, and one over here. You're going to want to remove those clips, but before you do that, you need to move this weather stripping out of the way. We'll do the first clip right here. A lot of the time, they come off in two pieces, so you got to take the center piece out and then the lower piece. Move on to the second one ... and over to the third one. Then we'll just pull up on this to remove it from the vehicle.

Here's your cabin air filter: trim removal tool

On top the cabin air filter, there's a protective cover, which has a clip on each side that you just push out of the way. You can see it on each side, and at that point, you can pull your cabin air filter right out.

The new filter from 1aauto.com, you can see is the same size and shape as the old one. It's just obviously a whole lot cleaner. The new cabin air filter has foam along three edges of it. One side does not have foam and that's the top. You're going to want the foam more towards the cabin area of the car, not the engine side, so we'll put it in just like this.

Once it's fully down, we'll take the cover and snap that into place as well. Now, you can place the cowl plastics back into place. Now, you can take your three clips. I like to take the bottom section of the clip and poke it down in each hole. Then, go right back with the centers of the clips and push each one all the way down. Now, you can reinstall your weather strip. Make sure it's all the way down and your cabin air filter is now replaced.
