In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the front arm rest bases on this '60 Pontiac. These arm rests bases are the same for many '60 to mid '60's GM cars: Pontiacs, Chevys, Buicks, Olds, even some Cadillacs. The only tool you'll need is a Phillips screwdriver and yes, in case you're wondering, you can probably fit six or seven full size bodies in the trunk of that car.

Right underneath are two Phillips screws: one there and one there. Use a Phillips driver. That's what the screw should look like. Now, this pad comes off. Again, there are two Phillips screws right underneath. This is an original car, so we know this is right. That's what that screw should look like and this other one is the exact same. Take our pad off.

Here's our original and you can see it's a little worn, a little faded. It's even cracked. A nice new one from 1A Auto is a nice, a deep chrome. It's going to give that little touch to our car. Put the pad on and drop the screws down in carefully and tighten them up. You don't want to make them extremely tight, but you want to firm. Put this right back into where it was. Let the screw find its way. Start that one. Start this one. Here we go.
