I had trouble unplugging the lock wire, so i just left it plugged in and worked with it that way. Didn't seem to be a problem. I took the car guy's advice and re-used the much sturdier catch-hook for the rod. Put it all back and had some trouble catching the latches, but I finally got it in there. And, it didn't work. Sad face. My neighbor had offered to help me install it but he was out of town. So, I figured I would have another couple days of rolling the window down and opening it from the outside. The next morning, I went out for some errands, and as I still hadn't really gotten used to the routine of rolling down the window, etc., went for the door handle, AND IT WORKED!!!
