2008 Jeep Wrangler HVAC Blower Motor Assembly TRQ HMA84831

Hi. I'm Mike from 1AAuto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years!

We need to remove this lower dash trim to get to the blower motor. It's clipped into place with three push clips. I'm just going to take my fingers, pop that one out, pop this one out in the middle here, and that one popped out, too. Three clips. It’s got two little rubber bushings that sit in the back here. We can just lay that down. Actually, I'll take it out of the way.

The blower motor sits right here. I’m going to unplug it. The three screws that are holding this blower motor in place are T20 torx. If you don't have the T20 torx, these also have a flat head slot cut into them, so you could use a flathead screwdriver. I'm going to use the T20 torx because it's a little easier. It doesn't slip out. Remove the three screws. Hold the blower motor, because once I do this one, it's going to want to fall out. Slide it right out of the heater box.

This is our original from our vehicle and a brand new one from 1AAuto.com. See it has the identical mounting holes, same style, and same size fan blades, so this should fit in place and work great for us.

We take our new one and line up this, the opening in the heater box. Slide it in place. Get one of these screws caught. These are just going into plastic, so once I feel them get tight, I'm just going to stop. Get this other screw installed. Install the final screw and plug it back in.

Now, reinstall this lower cover. These two rubber pieces are going to go into these openings here. We're going to push this up and the clips here and here, we're going to snap up into place.
