What are Tapered Bearings and Why Use Them? Tapered bearings use rollers shaped like flat-topped cones and two races angled from the outside in of the bearing. This angle makes the bearing better at handling forces exerted on the bearing during cornering (known as axial load) in trucks and large cars. Your model came from the factory with tapered bearings. Roller ball bearings work well for smaller cars, but replacing a tapered bearing with a roller ball bearing increases wear and failure.

Great product and fast shipping
Bought these for a 98 Isuzu Trooper S 4x4 with TOD. This was the absolute best deal I could find anywhere. Local part stores wanted the same amount or more for just one single bearing. With this kit I got everything I needed to replace the inner and outer bearings and seals on both front wheels. Our Trooper sees a lot of miles but everything seems to be holding up great. I am very impressed with 1A Auto and will be looking to them for all the parts I need from now on! I found a lot of parts on here that would normally cost 3-4 times more at a parts store or even online at other sites!
Price is great and fitment seemed perfect on my 2001 (pre-June production) Isuzu Rodeo. I considered spending more than double on a more recognizable name brand bearing set but decided to give these a shot first. Been driving on them for a week now with no issues so I expect they'll be good to go in the long term. Buy with confidence.
