Out with the old and in with the new! I had the classic 06-10 Explorer plastic thermostat housing leak that worsened over time. I finally decided to swap it out and was happy to see they made this new metal one. Installation was relatively simple and made easier with their video. So far so good!
Great upgrade from the plastic housing previously installed on my 2006 Ford Explorer 4.0. Fit perfectly.
Great product
Thermostat housing was well made & fit on engine correctly. Had to replace thermostat because it would not hold temperature, it fluctuated after reaching temp. Replaced thermostat and all is working well.
The cost of the housing wasn't much more than the temp sensor which was my problem, so I replaced the whole housing. Pretty simple job. Cleared my check engine light after installation and has worked great since.
