Perfect replacement for the Ford 4.0 L V6 PLASTIC OEM thermostat housing that Ford uses on these engines. Every Ranger that I've had, that cheap plastic thermostat housing failed. I can't believe Ford still uses it. This aluminum housing is sturdy and a much better part. It fit perfectly, all I had to do was make sure my temp sensor was in the correct spot, because this housing has two (only one is needed), so I just blocked off the unused sensor. This is a terrific upgrade.
It fit perfect The only thing i had to do was change the sensor location to be able to plug it in.On the old housing the second hole didn't go all the way though. but this one does so be mindful of that. Also i should say the top of the sensor has different type plug you will have to check which one fits yours and the besteay to do that is before you install it . thanks

Originaly purchased a "aluminum" housing from another vender, put it in, my trunk wouldn't come to operating temp? Vender has cheap t-stat in housing, it would not close at all. So i purchased this from TRQ. Better quality, T-stat works. No problems with 8k miles since install.
Everything fit good hope it keeps together better than the plastic one did. Fixed my issue but I put everything back together and went to start it and temp gauge was at normal operating already and not a minute after letting it run was pegged to hot. Took the new temp sensing sensor out and put it the old one and everything worked right. Make sure before you put everything back together when you put those sensors on turn the key and make sure temp gauge isn't off.
