In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the fuel injection pressure sensor. This is a 2006 Ford Explorer with a 4.6-liter motor. Pretty much the same for any Fords from this era with this engine in it.

Here are the items that you'll need for this repair.
With the hood open, you'll want to locate the fuse box on the driver's side right behind the battery. Pull up on this tab. When you have the engine running, you want to pull out this number four 30 amp fuse. I'm going to pull out once beforehand just to make sure it'll come out. That is the fuel pump fuse. You'll have the engine running, pull that out, and then the engine will die. That will relieve some of the pressure in the fuel line. With the engine running, pull out this fourth 30 amp fuse.
Loosen and disconnect your negative battery cable. It should be an 8 millimeter. This looks like about a 13 millimeter.
Your fuel injection pressure sensor's right here. There's two leads: electric and vacuum. Vacuum, twist, and pull. The electric tab right on top, push down and disconnect, and two 8 millimeter bolts hold it in place. Remove the bolts and twist on the sensor and pull up and out. This side is our old sensor from our 2006 Ford Explorer.
Here’s a new sensor from 1A Auto. Cosmetically, they have some slight differences, but everything's going to bolt in, fit, and function just like the original. The plugs are the same. The vacu-port is the same. I'm going to carefully clean the surface with some carburetor choke and throttle body cleaner. Spray it on the rag. Then basically wipe out from the middle. Make sure we don't get anything inside.
This cap from my motor oil, just take a little bit of residue from the motor oil. You don't want to put too much on here, just really, really, light coat of oil to make sure it goes together correctly. Then, push it down and in. Put your two bolts back in. By hand at first to make sure they go in correctly, and then tighten them up with your 8 millimeter socket ratchet and extension. Tighten them up evenly. Get one side seated down and seat down the other side. Once you get them seated down, tighten them about another 1/4 turn.
Reconnect your vacuum line, and reconnect your electrical lead. Make sure you hear a click when you put this in. Put your fuel pump breaker back in, or fuse back in. Put this back on.
Reconnect your battery. Turn your key on once or twice, just to let the fuel pump build pressure, and then start it up.

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the fuel pressure regulator on this 2005 Ford Focus. It's the same part and similar process on these Focuses from 2005 to 2009. The items you'll need for this is a new fuel pressure regulator from 1AAuto.com and a 7mm socket and ratchet.
On this car we had a check engine light so we used a scan tool. It told us that the code was P0193, which is your fuel pressure sensor. Since our harnesses to it look completely fine it's likely the sensor itself.
You want to just start the car, open up the fuse box, take your fuse puller, pull out your fuel pump fuse, and the engine will run out of fuel and shut off. Then shut your vehicle off and replace your fuse puller and your fuel pump fuse. Don't start the vehicle again until after this procedure.
Your fuel pressure regulator is right here. Just pull this hose free and then push the tab on the harness and disconnect it. Then remove these two 7mm bolts. Now stuff a rag down underneath this in case some fuel comes out. Then just pull the sensor free.
On the left is the old fuel pressure regulator; on the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical and they'll fit exactly the same.
Put your new fuel pressure regulator back down into place, replace those two 7mm bolts, and tighten them up. Remove the rag, reconnect your harness, and push that hose back into place.
Now just put your vehicle into the on position without turning the key over a couple times. Then start it up and you can see it works. Then you'll just make sure that if you have a scanner that you just delete that code so that your check engine light will stay off.

Was broken and had to put my old one back on
This did not work at all it was given me raft idle i had to buy the brand that came with it this was 20 something and the original brand was 180 dlls so no complain we get what we pay for
I put this part in and a week later my car died. I had to have it towed to a shop. The shop said the part was defective !! And it had let gas into the intake and mixed with the oil I needed a new fuel pressure switch which was a bostich and an oil change and now it works fine! A-1 agreed to refund me the part money I paid. But I'm out over 200.00 dollars Nice. Thanks A-1!!!! Not happy
The part was defective had to get a replacement part from auto parts store.
Part was defected, had to replace it with a new one.
Installed the pressure sensor, car drove fine for three days then died on the way to work and would not restart. Had it towed to repair shop where they said the aftermarket pressure sensor had failed and they replaced it with a Motorcraft part, has been running fine since.
It wasn't my problem but the part works and does what it says . And it arrived on time.
For the F-450, this part will fit the 2005-2008 V10 6.8L.
I don't know what years this applies to but I have an 08 and it is located underneath the intake cover.
On fords there may be more than one. Check near your firewall on the driver's side. Also just youtube for help.
