The shock stem is at least 1.5 inches shorter than stock. The bushings are the cheapest things I've seen. They don't have the typical collar on them to keep the shock stem centered in the top mount hole. The shock stem can't be moving around while driving or its going to ream out the mount hole. Here's the kicker, the instructions that came with are for a completely different style of shocks. It would have been nice to know, yea just jack the control arm up enough to get the nut on their, drop it back and tighten it until you get 3-4 threads showing. (This is my estimate of what to do based on where the bolt sat on the original shocks.) I haven't been able to torque it to 30ft lbs cause the shock stem can still spin. This doesn't happen on the stock shocks because the bolt gets ran all the way down. On these aftermarket shocks if I tighten the bolt all they way it's going to affect shock travel range and ride height. Again, nice to know, not try and see.
Purchased for my son's 2007 Ford Ranger XL 3.0 2wd. Great fit, easy install. Truck rides very well now, not too rigid nor bouncy. Would buy again for sure. Price is better than at big box stores locally. Worth the wait to ship, and 1A Auto hasn't failed me yet!
