Perfect fit
Well for a while now I have been smelling gas fumes from the original tank area in the trunk and back seat. I am not for sure if maybe the fuel pump gasket had worn down causing gas fumes to leak out or maybe a hole somewhere in the gas tank. Anyway I have tried tracing all the fuel related lines on the car injectors, fuel rail, fuel filter and found nothing so I just decided to change out both the fuel pump and gas tank. I've had them both installed and so far I am not smelling the gas from the trunk or back seat. Maybe the problem is solved. This appears to be a very good fuel tank hopefully it is and will hold up for a good while.
I ordered a gas tank for my 1982 Lincoln. Went to the Dealer ship and they asking $170. Checked out 1aauto and got it for $73.. now thats a deal
