I was able to replace the upper ball joints without removing the control arm. Got the free loaner ball joint press from a local auto parts store. There will not be enough clearance for the c clamp to be used normally. Turn it around and be creative how to use the adapters. You will be able to figure it out. The ball joints were an exact fit when pressed in. There were no snap rings in the kit, but you will not use them anyway. The description should have said these come with no grease. Back to the auto parts store to get a grease needle ($4) for my grease gun. You will be surprised how much grease goes in each ball joint. Forums were not sure if you had to replace the entire control arm with the ball joint. I can testify you do not even have to mess with the control arm. I do not know about long term quality.
