Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the blower motor on this 2005 Ford F150. It's the same part and similar process on these F150s from 2004 to 2008. The items you'll need for this is a new blower motor from 1AAuto.com and an 8 millimeter socket and ratchet.
Your blower motor is located right here. It's held in with these three 8 millimeter bolts. Then disconnect the harness by pulling down on the tab and pushing it off. Then use an 8 millimeter wrench or a socket and ratchet to remove those three 8 millimeter bolts. Once those are removed, just pull the blower motor down as far as you can and then pull back the carpeting, and just maneuver it down and out and over the carpeting.
On the left is the new blower motor from 1AAuto.com. On the right is the old one. You can see they're identical, and they'll fit exactly the same. Take your new blower motor and feed it up into place. You push it in against the carpet as much as you can. Once you get to a certain point, you'll want to pull the carpet back to give yourself a little bit extra room. Then just kind of push it into the insulation and up at the same time, and it'll go into place. Then turn it once you get it up in place so that the holes line up.
Once you get it lined up, just replace those bolts and tighten them up. If you want to speed up the process of tightening them up, you can use an air ratchet, but you want to make sure that you don't over-tighten them, so just tighten them most of the way, and then tighten them the rest of the way using your socket and ratchet. You just want them hand tight. Reconnect your harness.
We hope this video helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet. Please feel free to call us toll-free, 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the Internet and in person.

Part was an exact match for what I was needing. My blower motor went out on a 104 degree day. 1a Auto was very quick to get me a replacement. The repair videos are AWESOME. I use 1a Auto every chance I get. Since I am not a mechanic by trade, those videos truly help me keep repair costs down by my being able to do it myself. So much thanks. Had my a/c back up in 4 days.
Just right

I got this blower motor because my blower started to get wobbly when you put the switch on 3-4. But now with the new one everything sounds normal again.

Works good. I took the short cut in taking out the old and placing new into my 2003 Ford Expedition as outlined on a You Tube example and the new blower worked just fine.

I have an 06 f150. I Accessed it under the glove box. Removed the side panel and was able to reach the three screws. Once the screws were removed it slid right out

I recently replaced the blower motor on a 2006 F150. There are three screws that hold the blower motor in place. One of the screws is hidden towards the back corner and not the easiest screw to find or to get to. I believe your problem in not being able to remove the motor is you might not have removed all three screws. Once those screws are removed the motor will drop right out. By the way, it is just as difficult replacing that screw but don't give up, it can be done.

If you have all the screws out just pull down the floor liner and the fan blades both hang up a little. Just pull harder you can't brake anything. Hope this helps.

Hey Mike! Sounds like the same problem I had on my Ford F150. Eventually the motor will go out completely. The replacement package includes the motor, cage and resistor.

I would just pull it out and inspect it before drawing any conclusions. Might just have some debris in there.

Pull the motor out and see whats inside could have something simple like a couple leafs inside or could be a fin from the old blower has broken off and is rattling around or pinned up against something causing it to click you wont know until you pull it out

The Ford dealership is charging a little over $600 to replace my blower motor. I watched video's on YouTube of the job being done less then 15 minutes. I'm wondering why is the replacement so expensive for 3 screws and a wire connect? Is there more tJanuary 8, 2022

Hello, I apologize we would not be able to give you an estimate on this job. You could try a local mechanic.
