This door check will do as it is supposed to but be very careful when tightening the nuts during installation. I barely had it hand tight and the stud snapped off. I ordered 2 and only insalled 1 since the other one broke. They are also shorter than the OEM door check but the door still opens plenty wide enough in my opinion. The other down fall I noticed is that this one ( the one I did install without breaking) is that is makes noise when closing the door which is kinda annoying if you ask me.
I bought these for my 05' excursion and after attempting the driver side door check, the bolt thats buiit into these units snapped. I attempted to install the other one and it went on fine; however it made a horrible popping noise as the door shut. Thankfully though customer service was awesome and took them back
