What are Tapered Bearings and Why Use Them? Tapered bearings use rollers shaped like flat-topped cones and two races angled from the outside in of the bearing. This angle makes the bearing better at handling forces exerted on the bearing during cornering (known as axial load) in trucks and large cars. Your model came from the factory with tapered bearings. Roller ball bearings work well for smaller cars, but replacing a tapered bearing with a roller ball bearing increases wear and failure.
TRQ drivetrain kits are manufactured using premium raw materials to restore original performance. Each TRQ drivetrain component is designed to be a direct, maintenance-free replacement to the stock unit. To extend the service life of your drivetrain, TRQ recommends replacing wheel hubs, bearings, and constant velocity (CV) drive axles at the same time to ensure even wear of components and improved ride comfort. Install Tip: When replacing steering components, have a professional alignment performed afterwards. This ensures proper tracking and even tire wear.

This was by far the most beat up/destroyed package Ive ever received. The top of one of the boxes was literally wide open. Holes in almost every box I received from parts popping out. Not small holes but giant holes, I was worried I would be missing parts. One of the wheel/hub seals was smashed and unusable so I had to go buy one locally. Sucked because it wasnt cheap. Other than that, the parts fit great and when I called to ask some questions before I placed the order the woman I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and helpful. Ive ordered from 1A a bunch. First time getting such a poorly packaged shipment. But overall another good purchase. New balljoints and tie rods really tightened up the front end on my truck. Steering feels much better. Shipping was fast, even though it looked like it was airdropped straight from a chinook straight to my front porch.
The parts are reliable and the price is great for the set. I would most definitely recommend buying this if you are in search of any of these parts.
The rebuild kit worked great, everything was the right specs and fit perfectly. The upper ball joints were the only thing i had a problem with. When I tried to press them in the rubber seal popped off and would not reattach so I ended up buying a set of moggs at advance. But other than that issue everything seems great. Truck rides smooth now

I am very happy with the parts in this kit. I was not as happy with the packaging. The parts are direct match to the factory originals on this 19 year old car. Installation provided a noticeable improvement over the worn out parts. This kit did NOT come with a replacement steering stabilizer which is about the only thing that was missing! The packaging however, was not up to the challenge of shipment across country. The boxes did well enough but the bubble bags in the box were almost all popped and the parts banged together quite a bit. In the end, everything threaded together a mated solidly but the packaging could use some improvement. This is the reason I dropped a star.
Everything went great very impressed with how everything fit it was the best deal all the parts in one shot much cheaper than buying them separately very impressed on how fast they came
