In this video, we going to show you how to replace the torque strut mount on this 2005 Ford Focus and the tools you'll need are a jack and jack stands and a 13mm socket and ratchet and a 13mm wrench.
Your torque strut mount is located right here. You can see it's held in with two 13mm bolts: one here and one right here. You want to start off by just removing those. We'll just fast forward as Don removes both of them. Push the torque strut mount back and then next you want remove these two 13mm bolts on this bracket. You want to use a wrench and another wrench so you can have some added leverage here and just break those bolts free. Then you can just remove them the rest of the way and you'll see he starts off using a wrench but then he switches to using a socket and ratchet. Now repeat this same process for the upper bolt. For this one, it may be easier to use the socket and ratchet from up above. Then once you twist out that last bolt, you can just pull that bracket and the torque strut mount down.
Take your new torque strut mount and put it up into place and push your bracket in place. It's easier to do the top bolt first. Just replace that bolt and tighten it up. We'll just fast forward as he replaces the other bolt and tightens both of those up. Once the bracket is tightened into place, replace your two bolts on your torque strut mount and tighten those up.

My son had this ford focus that he no longer wanted. I took the vehicle which needed a lot of work including motor mount replacement. I was able to purchase a motor mount kit from an unknown company online for a very low price. I installed the motor mounts and immediately noticed the difference. I had then somewhere on a forum that when replacing motor mounts to make sure you use good quality parts. About a year of using the vehicle, I started hit a clunk sound coming from the transmission after shifting. The sound was not bad if I shifted the gears easily . I continued using the vehicle until I got tired of the sound. Upon researching the problem, it was mentioned that the transmission motor mount was probably bad. I decided to change and purchased the parts from a1 auto. I had purchased parts before without any issues and the price was not bad either. I replaced the motor mounts and the it feels like a new transmission. I'm very happy and will now trust in a1 auto for future parts.

Almost everything fit perfectly, made car sound 1,000 times better. Only issue was the mount that goes under the battery for the transmission was incorrect and only way to fix (from what I found) was to do a complete return. With 2 of 3 installed that wont happen.

I put them on my automatic Ford focus the two top ones were fairly easy the Undermount one taking out the bracket I broke a bolt which was a little trying but overall not bad and theyve made a huge difference in the smoothness of the carEnter an answer to this question.
