In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the grille emblem on this 2005 Ford F150 and the only items you'll need for this are a new grille emblem from 1AAuto.com and a 10 millimeter socket and ratchet.
On the back of your grille, just remove the two 10 millimeter nuts that hold the emblem in place. Since you're replacing the emblem, you can either just break these studs off on the emblem or you can carefully pull back these tabs and then pull on the emblem from the other side. This is dangerous because you can end up breaking those tabs and damaging the grille.
Take your new emblem, remove the adhesive and just push it into those tabs. On the back side, just replace those two 10 millimeter nuts by hand and then tighten them up.

Emblem were as shown. However one of the emblems came severely Scratched and the other was scratched as well but not as bad. There should be some kind of protective stick and peel on the face of the emblem to prevent this from happening.the emblems came in clear plastic bag with no protection around them so there are going to be damaged in shipping. The adhesive on the back side of the emblem its self does make for easy instal on the tailgate. But one of the emblems should come with the self threading nuts for the grill emblem to help hold it in place and not just relying on the tape to hold it on. Overall dont waste your time and money on these unless you plan on wet sanding the emblems,then repainting them and clear coat ,then wet sand some more then buff ans polish. Which I could have done to my old ones.
