Easy install, quality is good, but seems to be a bit rougher then i thought, meaning the fluid in the shock is not smooth then lowering the tailgate. Not a deal breaker. But still works fine.
Looked small for the application when I opened the package. Instructions said it was for a 2008 to 2010 f 250. When I purchased it, the literature said it was for a 2012 which I have. Installation of the captive nut was difficult at best. The instructions were vague with poor illustrations. After the installation, it didn't help with the tailgate weight at all. Would not buy again. This thing is junk. Very disappointed.
I love it and it works grate. I did have a little problem installing the insert as one side did not want to bend as it should but after bending it about 1/16 inch with a screwdriver at the mark it worked fine. love it John
This will make lifting the tailgate a bit easier.
