Overall the camera works great and the tail gate handle fits really well. My biggest complaint is with the harness that comes with it. Firstly, the power harness is really short. I'm guessing the manufacturer expects power connection to be made in back. Second, the connectors are not sealed what-so-ever. I cut them off and installed weatherpack connectors to keep the wires from corroding. When I cut the connectors off I removed the factory wiring and added 20 feet of cable for the power harness to make the connections in the cab. This should result in better longevity. Would be nice to see the harness better thought out.
I got this thinking I would be able to mount the camera myself. Not being to electrical savvy, I had a trusted shop install this for me. The handle was a piece of cake to install but the camera I couldnt get to sit flush in the camera hole of the latch. The shop had trouble and couldnt get it to work. I had to buy a camera from the shop. I havent returned the camera yet because the shop first tried to modify the camera to fit. Still didnt work. Dont think the camera is returnable now.
