Must have tool for brake jobs!
This tool is a MUST HAVE if you are doing your own brake jobs! It makes pushing back the caliper piston super easy. If you have two caliper pistons on each of your wheels, simply use one of the old brake pads to insert between this spreader and the caliper pistons. Then simply move this spreader between each piston as you rotate the screw slowly and push back each piston. I've used this tool on four different cars doing brake jobs! Highly recommend!

I've always used a c clamp in the past when changing brake pads. This tool makes the job much easier! It's very inexpensive don't think twice just buy it you won't be disappointed.

Perfect for pushing back brake pistons! I know c-clamps are useful too but this tool is less bulky and makes it easier than dealing with a twisty c-clamp or pliers.

Does exactly as intended. No issues. Saw a 1A Auto tutorial on doing brakes for my car and this did the job for my front brakes. Rear piston needs to be twisted back in so couldn't use this. No need for any fancy / expensive tool here.

Its only useful for the front calipers on a 2007 mazda 3 hatch back 2.3L - manual. This doesnt work for the rear calipers as those need to be twisted as you are pushing them.
Even a Caveman Can Use It.

Press the caliper back in till its flush flat and extract the old brake fluid out of the reservoir as it fills up. Pressing the calipers will raise the fluid up, so extract it out and put new fluid when done.

More convenient and portable than using c clamp or groove plier to push caliper using old brake pad in between tool plate. Don't forget remove brake reservoir cap to release pressure and pump brakes before drive off.

This was part of our replacement parts to replace front and rear breaks. It is a must have and came with the "kit" worked great. If you buy parts separately make sure you have one of these you can't do the brake job without it.

Don't waste your money, get a C-clamp. This tool did not extend far enough to push the piston in. The handle broke, within a few minutes. It's like a prank joke.

Really great tool for installing new brake pads. I use to use a c clamp and squeeze the piston back in the caliper. It was awkward holding everything and try to do that.

Really makes a brake job go faster. I always used a monkey wrench or a c clamp but this tool is slick and easy. It's actually a pretty sturdy tool and it turns just fine under a load to move the cylinder.
Cheap however not worth it.

Glad that I bought, very useful tool to compress the caliper and install brake pads. It a great tool to use when needing brake pads replacement, just twist clockwise to compress calipers gradually that allows brake fluid to drain out or back to hydraulic system.
