bought 3 seperate parts for 2 diff cars, everything fit and works perfectly...also most parts hav an install video and thats helps out a bunch...solid place to get all your parts
The door handle assembly has three mounting points to the regulator. The original had 3 mounting holes, one threaded hole and two welded mounting blocks. This part had the one threaded hole, an no welded mounting blocks where there should be two. How do you mount the remaining two screws for the door handle?
This window motor came with everything already assembled so all I needed to do was install it. Install went just like the video. Con: Motor screwed are on the back of the assembly so you cannot take off just the motor. This is different than the original motor assembly. But since this is life warrantied this does not matter much to me.
All I wanted was the motor off this part. Turns out the motor is different than the original so I had to replace the entire regulator, which is pretty involved. I wouldnt be so upset if it was a one and done thing; however, I had to drill a unique hole in the regulator because the 2008 equinoxs lock system needs a pivot point, which was incorrectly placed when it was drilled in this one. Took me about 4 hours all in all. The dealer wanted 240$ for labor alone, assuming the parts didnt need any modification.

No, you can leave the window in...however it is very tight for your hands and fingers with the window in. No special tools required, It is a two person job to get it done.
