Replacement was identical to OEM and installed as it should.working good no problem .saved money I don't personally think the much higher price dormant is any different.it should have a diagram sheet of exploded view because the snap ring is hidden by the boot. I'm in Michigan so my shaft was quite corroded and stuck in the CV collar . I had to remove the shield from the bottom of the CV joint and with the snap ring retainer released I had to force the shaft out through the bottom of the joint with a brass drift and the 6 lb hammer with the joint retained and advice and an upside down position. After a lot of cleanup on the shaft it went to the new part nice and locked in position. You also have to be careful too have the shaft at the bottom of its travel and the joint so that the boot is retained at its uppermost position on the shaft to afford full travel
Had a bad clank coming from the front end took drive shaft off and replaced , make sure the new CV boot and gears are seated correctly

There is no grease included with this item.
You need snap ring pliers and various other tools to remove the old joint. When installing the new one you will need pliers and possibly something to cut the band.
