Remove the sound baffle. This is held on by two 7-millimeter screws—there's one under here and one over here, so we use my 7-millimeter ratchet and socket and start removing them. With the two 7-millimeter screws removed, there's a hidden one behind the console here. This sound cover has a lot of flex in it, so I'm just going to pull it down and just leave it like that. I can access the blower motor right here. There are no screws holding this blower motor in. There is a locking tab right here. I'm going to pull this tab down, and with the other hand, do my best to pull it down, it's a bit stiff. With my other hand, I'm going to turn the blower motor clockwise to unlock it, and it's going to pull out.
Now that I can get to the connector which is on the backside, I'm going to spin it around. I'm going to take a wide flat-bladed screwdriver to help me push in this lock. It's pretty hard to push with your fingers, so it's easier to just take a wide flat-bladed screwdriver to push it down and then sort of wiggle the plug out. Now we can remove the blower motor from the car.
Okay, we're going to use our old blower motor because it's working fine. We just wanted to show you how to remove it and reinstall it. I'm going to take the connector now, plug it back in. With this tab facing the front of the vehicle towards the firewall, you're going to lift it back into place. Turn it a little bit, it's going to seat, and then you're going to turn it counterclockwise. It's going to lock in. Now it's installed.
Push our plastic sound cover back up. A couple of ducts to fit over here. Install our 7-millimeter self-tapping screws. I'm going to use my fingers to tighten these, until I feel them stop. I'm going to just use my fingers, just as it gets tight, and stop.

2005 Chey Suburban A/C
1aauto website easy to navigate and quickly found the parts I needed. Their video was helpful and confirmed my problem diagnosis. Parts arrived in a few days as expected.
Worked Perfectly. Chose 1A because of your helpful videos on YouTube, could have saved a lot elsewhere, but the videos are great, and your mechanics present the info professionally, not some moron beating his chest. Did the resistor, connector clip, and blower. Attached photos. I colored mail return address labels to color code the connector wires, then used Wago connectors and gel boxes as I think the root of the problem is condensation/oxidation. Wago's are good to 32 Amps, so should be O.K. Expensive, but a lot easier to install vs soldering and heat shrink. Would welcome your thoughts. 1A will be my go-to for parts going forward.

Real Parts on Time
This part was exactly as described! It matched the original. HVAC blowers and acorns do not mix well together. Thanks for the video tutorial as well. I will definitely shop 1A Auto again and again as needed.

Solid replacement
Very easy install, much tighter fit than factory. Only downside is that the blower is slightly weaker than factory. But still moves air effectively. Would buy again.
