Door barely closes

After installing the rubber is so thick that the door barely closes and door sticks out from the rest of the van. They say wait till it molds itself to door but at this point I highly doubt it.

Cargo door weatherstripping

They seem okay so far, the doors didn't shut well at first probably because they were replaced and not exactly leveled properly so I adjusted and they more or less close better.
