Bad out of box

I ordered this part for my 2012 Silverado 1500 with a "service 4wd message" showing on the dash. A scan showed the C0396 code was stored which lead me to chase down wiring, connections, fuses, and finally purchasing a likely failed replacement part. I swapped my oem transfer case motor for this one and was surprised when it worked briefly then got my truck stuck in 4wd. After some work I got it back to 2wd and dropped it off at the dealer as I was at a loss. They did a diagnostic ($200) to tell me this part was bad. Filed a warranty claim with 1a auto where I was told I could only replace the part, so I did. I swapped out the original bad motor with the replacement and once again, it was bad out of the box. The motor was testing with an open ground resulting in a high voltage error back to the tccm. I ended up purchasing a Dorman locally and it works perfectly. Save yourself a headache and avoid this motor! I should have known better when it was 1/2 the price of the Dorman.

Installed part easily but then vehicle was stuck in 4 wheel drive (high). Could not figure out what was wrong with it so had to take it to a dealership. They said part was faulty and replaced it with an oem part and it worked. Ended up costing me $700 and a bunch of extra hassle. This part did not work fir my truck.

Part ordered was an exact match and installed easily.

Looked exactly like mine. Installed with no problem. Did not correct my problem. I will continue to use A1 audio for my parts
