TRQ brake calipers are made from premium raw materials designed to restore original performance. All TRQ calipers are new, so there will never be a core charge with your TRQ purchase. TRQ brake calipers include upgraded seals, washers, abutment kits and brackets where applicable to ensure a complete repair. TRQ recommends replacing your calipers in pairs with new brake pads and brake rotors to ensure components wear evenly and avoid multiple repairs of the same system. One of the best calipers available at a competitive price

I purchased a pair of calipers for the rear brakes on my Tahoe. Those were rebuilt and unpainted. I found a small flaw in one of the boots around one piston. Not happy with what I purchased from a local auto supply I returned them and went online to the people who sell TRQ products and ordered these. Having ordered these calipers before for another Tahoe, I was very happy with the parts that came with them plus the finish on the calipers. Are the coating on calipers weather proof or so I need to spray paint to prevent rust?

Thank you for the inquiry. These calipers will not have any coating on them and if you wish to add a coat yourself, you are free to do so, just make sure it doesn't get into any of the mechanisms as they may stick or not open fully.
